Hello and Merry Christmas from long lost "Mustang"...

Hey everyone! Haven't really stayed in touch well, so don't blame you if you don't remember me. Living in Vancouver, Washington now and doing ok. If you'd like to drop me a line, my email is deliliahssampson@live.com (if your wondering, there is a story behind the email account name, but too long to get into here and fairly depressing - not a good topic around the holidays.) Also on Facebook - don't check it very often (maybe once or twice a week), but your welcome to look me up there as well!

Suffice it to say, I'd love to hear from any of you if you have the time and inclination. I know holiday season is upon us and things are hectic, but if you get a chance, drop me a quick hello! I would have loved to have made either of the reunions, however military service interfered the first time and family issues this last time. Take care and hope all is well with each of you and your families where ever you may be.

Merry Christmas! - Malachi

(and like our senior year with the roses at Christmas time - this is a wish for you to have a Merry Christmas from me, not someone else wishing me a Merry Christmas and accidentally putting it in your locker!) ...... ;)

Happy Turkey Day to You All

Where oh where is everyone?
Happy Thanksgiving to each and all of your families. Do you all have plans and traveling in your futures? I will be cooking at home and gathering family at my house. Step-kids and thier friends, my mom, Dave's dad, and cousins....last I counted it was around 14 or so.

Now, I have heard through the grapevine that there have been a meeting or two about this gathering we are having next year. Stace, I am here to help, seriously. If you need a block of time filled up, I have an idea called the Olympics that would fill in time. Also if you give me a list once we are closer to the actual events I would more than love to make the nametags. My husband has a cool machine at work we can use for them.

Anyway, noticed no one has been talking or using the board so I thought I better do something about that. I know with school, work, and all sometimes there isn't time, yet I always find time to see if anyone else has written so I thought maybe I should try and get the ball rolling.

Hope this note finds everyone in good spirits, I know our economy has a way of bringing us down, which blows since it's the holiday season. Would love to hear how everyone else is doing.

Contacting Rob Turner

Rob, I have been sending you emails at the school and they all bounce back. What is up? Is there a new e-mail address we should send things to. Thought if I posted it, you may respond. Just hoping that you and your family are doing well. Keep in touch.

Birthdays and Stuff

Hello Everyone,

My you are all so quiet! I just thought I would break the silence. It just occurred to me that this is approximately the time period when a few of the girls in our class have the same birthday. So Happy Birthday. Don't you wish you could come home and find one of Mrs. Smiths Chalkboard Birthday Cakes. I miss the simple things in life and occasionally long for a time machine so that I can take a break from reality. Also Happy Birthday to all of us because most of us basically never see each other and if we do it's usually not for a birthday.

Take Care
Onnie

1st day of school

Well, I imagine by now everyone's kids are back in school. How did everyone cope? I'm not gonna lie....I cried like a baby and my child is in 5th grade!! It got me thinking about when we were kids and the first day of school. Does anyone remember any first day of any year? I remember my first day of 5th grade......I thought Mr. Tollefson was so cool and how much fun it was going to be. He put a big damper on that by handing out dictionary pages to some of us. I'm pretty sure that year I copied A-M of the dictionary!!!!!!!

Reunion- NEXT YEAR

Hello everybody! I finally got on this blog. It has been so long, I forgot my password etc. There is an ALL class reunion next summer in conjunction with the City of Malta's 100th birthday. The dates are July 10-12, 2009. Our class needs to send a representative to the planning committee, which will meet after labor day. I guess we need to know what people are thinking/feeling since we just had our awesome reunion and the possibility of Bridgette's camping trip. Let us know. All is well here. Just getting ready for school to start in 3 days. My oldest boy is heading to kindergarten all day, every day. It will be quite an adjustment for me and his little sister. To say I am a little worried is a big understatement. I'll be getting the box of Kleenex out, and Kory, the belly flashbacks will come in handy. HA!

Reunion Footage

Kory and I received a VERY valuable package in the mail today. . . the video highlights from the Amazing Race!!! Thanks Stacy for sending that to us. We're thinking of having everyone from Billings (or wherever you may be traveling from) to get a little tipsy (well ok, drunk!) and watch the video. You will get to see highlights from the race track, the football field, and most entertaining of all, Trafton Park!!! We're thinking of having the reveal party the weekend of August 23rd. Post a comment if you can make it!

By the way Bonnie, we installed a security system, so don't even THINK of trying to break in and steal the video!!

Music

Hey everybody!

I added a music playlist to the blog, so every time you login, it will automatically start playing some eighty's music. You can see the playlist at the bottom of our blog. If you think of some other 80's songs you'd like me to add, post a comment with the names and I will add them. We can have up to 100 songs on the playlist. Rock On!!!

Weekend & After Work Projects

This year we and by we it usually means my husband, have changed the color on the outside of our house. It was a pale yellow with a pale tan on the shutters and awnings. We took a long time discussing what the new colors would be. We have lived here for 10 years and have never really liked the original colors. We chose a medium sage green as the main color and the awnings and shutters are very dark purple. 3/4's of the job is done it is slow going because of work and other family stuff. We have also purchased a 20' twin keel sloop rigged sailboat that we will be refinishing. My husband is also working on a lot of doors and shelves and desks inside the house to help all of us get reorganized. My sister and nephews will be here for about a year and we all got rid of a lot of stuff and have to be efficient in how we store everything. We will also be performing a minor remodel on our one and only bathroom. I would say that is enough projects for now. I try to help with the carpentry and painting but I usually get distracted with housework yuck and cooking yeah.

What project is everyone else working on or wish they had time for?

Vacation anyone?

Ron's post got me thinking:

Where is the most interesting vacation destination you have been to?

Where would you like to go? Who would you take?

Why haven't you gone?

Sounds a little like a jounal assignment for English class doesn't it? Anyway, I thought it might be interesting to hear where everyone has been and where we'd like to go. Maybe a destination reunion is in order....

This is what I feel like lately. . .

AAADD - KNOW THE SYMPTOMS.....PLEASE READ! Thank goodness there's a name for this disorder. Somehow I feel better, even though I have it!! Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. - Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder. This is how it manifests: I decide to water my garden. As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide it needs washing. As I start toward the garage, I notice mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mail box earlier. I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car. I lay my car keys on the table, Put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, And notice that the can is full. So, I decide to put the bills back On the table and take out the garbage first. But then I think,Since I'm going to be near the mailbox When I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first. I take my check book off the table, And see that there is only one check left. My extra checks are in my desk in the study, So I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Coke I'd been drinking. I'm going to look for my checks, But first I need to push the Coke aside So that I don't accidentally knock it over. The Coke is getting warm, And I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.. As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, A vase of flowers on the counter Catches my eye--they need water. I put the Coke on the counter and Discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back on my desk, But first I'm going to water the flowers. I set the glasses back down on the counter,Fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote.. Someone left it on the kitchen table. I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I'll be looking for the remote, But I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, So I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, But first I'll water the flowers. I pour some water in the flowers, But quite a bit of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back on the table, Get some towels and wipe up the spill. Then, I head down the hall trying to Remember what I was planning to do. At the end of the day: The car isn't washed The bills aren't paid There is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter The flowers don't have enough water, There is still only 1 check in my check book, I can't find the remote, I can't find my glasses, And I don't remember what I did with the car keys. Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day, And I'm really tired. I realize this is a serious problem, And I'll try to get some help for it, But first I'll check my e-mail.... Do me a favor. Forward this message to everyone you know,
Because I don't remember who I've sent it to.

Camping June 2009

Bonnie- that is so funny you should say that. Theresa and I were just saying that exact thing, on how no one has blogged. What are we a bunch of talkers and not doers? Well, we will use this site. To all of those who are interested in camping next summer at our cabin. I have done some research to prepare for next years events....The road up to the cabin has some switchbacks that aren't too bad. Road is a little bumpy, but very tight. Tree's are growing next to the road, so anything much bigger than your vehicle will not make it up into our land.
We have some nice land, so we can spread out. There is no running water, but ladies there is a bathroom. We have a generator to the cabin so we can warm up water to shower, we have a shower tent too. We have horse shoe pits, many birds and other wildlife, a ton of wild flowers should be blooming too. The Cabin Bar is not far and I guess has good food. We would like to do a milk can dinner for everyone, probably Friday night? So we don't have to worry about cooking as we all setting up to camp. We also have a fire pit to roast those marshmallows to make smores. don't know if there are people who would like to come but aren't into "camping". Belt is about 12 miles away and Monarch isn't far either and may have some type of rental rooms. But that is the update on the Camping Trip. I am real excited for this to happen next year and hope many can attend.

Where the heck is everyone??

What is everyone up to??? Someone has to have something interesting to say!!!

Blog Posts

Hey everyone!!

Thanks to all who have signed up to be members here--I am so excited!! Remember that you can post right here on the front page of the blog and not just in the comments--when you log in just click on "New Post" and you will be good to go. And Bonnie--I expect you to post your picture with Snoop Dogg on here!! I want to see it!!

Bridgette--the camping trip sounds great--I'm going to put a note on our calendar so that we remember to transfer it to next year's when we get it!! That would be a blast. We'll have to do some research on lakes that are centrally located. BTW, we will be camping up at Canyon Ferry August 10th-16th, so if anybody is interested in joining us, that would be great! We are planning on staying at Hellgate Campground.

And go ahead and let others know about this website that I may have missed. Hopefully I typed everyone's e-mail address correctly. If anybody else wants to join, just send me their e-mail address (kbmsz@live.com) and I will send them an e-mail invite so they can be authors too if they wish.
